The Pilot Certificate Accessibility Act modernizes Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) inspections by allowing pilots to present their airman and medical certificates in either a physical, original copy or a digital copy . Digital formats, which can be stored on electronic devices or cloud platforms, including mobile certificates issued by the Administrator, aim to enhance convenience and accessibility for pilots. The legislation mandates the FAA Administrator to update part 61 of title 14, Code of Federal Regulations, to implement these new provisions, which will take effect one year after the Act's enactment.
