This legislation amends the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act to expand eligibility for the free annual National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass. Previously available to members of the Armed Forces and their dependents, the pass will now also be offered to qualified law enforcement officers and firefighters. The bill specifically modifies Section 805(b) of the existing Act, requiring the Secretary to make the pass available at no cost to these new groups upon presentation of adequate proof of eligibility. It also introduces clear definitions for both "firefighter" and "law enforcement officer," specifying that they include Federal, State, local, or Indian Tribe personnel involved in fire suppression or criminal law enforcement and offender supervision, respectively.
