Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Research and Education Act of 2025

This bill aims to significantly enhance efforts against triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), an aggressive form of the disease disproportionately affecting minority women. It directs the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to expand, intensify, and coordinate research programs specifically focused on TNBC, utilizing various relevant institutes and offices within the NIH. This research will seek to address gaps in understanding TNBC's prevalence, costs, and prevention methods, especially among minority populations. Furthermore, the legislation mandates the Secretary of Health and Human Services , through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to create and distribute public information about TNBC, covering its incidence, prevalence, the heightened risk for minority women, and available treatment options. Concurrently, the Health Resources and Services Administration will be responsible for informing healthcare providers about current TNBC information, including the elevated risk among minority women and treatment approaches, ensuring they remain well-informed. Appropriations are authorized for these research and education initiatives for fiscal years 2026 through 2031.
