Defund Heroin Injection Centers Act of 2025

This legislation seeks to prevent federal funds from being allocated to certain entities. Specifically, it prohibits the availability of federal funds to any State, local, Tribal, or private entity that operates or controls an injection center. The bill stipulates that such injection centers are considered to be in violation of section 416 of the Controlled Substances Act , commonly referred to as the "Crack House Statute." This statute makes it illegal to maintain a place for the purpose of unlawfully using or distributing controlled substances. The overarching goal is to cut off federal financial support for facilities that might be perceived as enabling illegal drug consumption.
