Compassion for Vulnerable and Struggling Workers Act

This bill aims to provide health benefits access to specific former civil service employees who were involuntarily removed from their positions, allowing them to enroll in or continue coverage under the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program (FEHBP). Eligibility is limited to those removed between January 20, 2025, and January 1, 2026 , under certain conditions. These conditions include being removed without cause , having a "fully successful" performance review, being pregnant at the time of removal, or having a cancer diagnosis within five years prior to removal. The legislation specifies that both government and individual contributions for these health benefits will be funded by federal savings generated by the newly established United States DOGE Service .
