Election Day Act

This legislative proposal, known as the "Election Day Act" , aims to designate Election Day as a new legal public holiday in the United States. It seeks to achieve this by amending title 5, United States Code, section 6103(a) , which lists existing federal holidays. Specifically, the bill directs the insertion of "Election Day" into the statutory list of holidays, immediately following Columbus Day.
