ENABLE Act

The "Ensuring Nationwide Access to a Better Life Experience Act," or ENABLE Act, aims to make several key provisions related to qualified ABLE programs permanent by amending the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. This legislation removes the previously established sunset dates, ensuring that certain benefits for individuals with disabilities continue indefinitely. Specifically, the bill permanently extends the ability for individuals to make increased contributions to ABLE accounts and allows for the permanent rollover of funds from 529 education savings plans to ABLE programs . Furthermore, it amends the tax code to include contributions made to ABLE accounts as "qualified retirement savings contributions," thereby making them eligible for the Savers Credit .
