This legislation proposes to eliminate several federal tax credits designed to incentivize the purchase and use of clean vehicles. It specifically targets and repeals the existing tax credit for new clean vehicles , as well as the credit for previously-owned clean vehicles , aiming to remove these financial incentives from the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. The bill further repeals the tax credit for qualified commercial clean vehicles . Additionally, it amends current law to exclude electric vehicle recharging property from qualifying for the alternative fuel vehicle refueling property credit. These changes are slated to take effect for vehicles or property purchased, or for which a binding contract is entered into, more than 30 days after the bill's enactment.
