SAFE for America Act of 2025

This legislative proposal aims to eliminate the diversity immigrant program , a component of the Immigration and Nationality Act. It specifically amends Section 203 of the Act by striking subsection (c), which establishes this program. Beyond the primary elimination, the bill includes extensive technical and conforming amendments across various sections of the Immigration and Nationality Act. These adjustments are necessary to remove all references to the diversity visa program and to correctly renumber subsequent subsections and cross-references within the law. The provisions of this bill are slated to become effective on October 1, 2025 .
