The "No Mandates Act" aims to broadly prohibit COVID-19 vaccination mandates across federal operations and federally funded entities. Specifically, it prevents any federal agency from issuing rules, regulations, or guidance that would require individuals to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. The legislation further stipulates that a COVID-19 vaccination shall not be a prerequisite for gaining access to Federal property or services , including congressional grounds. This ensures that individuals are not denied access based on their vaccination status. Moreover, the bill imposes significant federal funding restrictions on entities that implement such mandates. Any entity that has received federal funds, including those from specified COVID-19 relief packages, is prohibited from requiring COVID-19 vaccination as a condition for providing any service. Non-compliant entities would be required to repay the full sum of all federal funds they have received.
Referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and in addition to the Committees on House Administration, and Energy and Commerce, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
