Restoring Military Focus Act

This legislation, titled the "Restoring Military Focus Act," seeks to eliminate specific diversity-related leadership roles within the Department of Defense. The bill achieves this by repealing the statutory authority for the Chief Diversity Officer position, which was established under title 10, United States Code. It also repeals the provision from the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 that created the Senior Advisor for Diversity and Inclusion . A central component of this Act is the explicit prohibition on the use of federal funds. This prohibition prevents the Department of Defense from establishing any new position that is the same as or substantially similar to the Chief Diversity Officer or the Senior Advisor for Diversity and Inclusion roles that existed prior to the bill's enactment.
