This legislation requires U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to publicly disclose comprehensive monthly operational statistics on a Department of Homeland Security website, starting the second full month after enactment. These statistics must include data on total and unique alien encounters, nationalities, gang-affiliated apprehensions, drug seizures, and encounters with individuals listed in the terrorist screening database . The publication will also detail arrests of criminal aliens, known "got aways," and encounters with individuals linked to transnational criminal organizations . Furthermore, the bill mandates specific reporting on individuals from the terrorist screening database and transnational criminal organizations who repeatedly attempt to cross unlawfully or are apprehended, noting whether they were released or removed. In addition to these monthly disclosures, the Secretary of Homeland Security must submit an annual report to Congress. This report will assess foreign terrorist organizations and transnational criminal organizations attempting to move their members or affiliates into the United States across any border, enhancing congressional oversight of these threats.
