This legislation, titled the La Paz County Solar Energy and Job Creation Act , directs the Secretary of the Interior to convey approximately 3,400 acres of federal land in Arizona to La Paz County upon the County's request. This transfer is specifically intended to facilitate solar energy development and job creation within the region, and it is contingent upon the County paying the fair market value of the land, as determined by appraisal, and covering all associated conveyance costs. The Secretary is mandated to exclude any land containing significant cultural, environmental, wildlife, or recreational resources from the transfer. Furthermore, the County is required to protect Tribal artifacts , necessitating coordination with the Colorado River Indian Tribes Tribal Historic Preservation Office. The conveyed land will also be withdrawn from mining and mineral leasing laws, and all proceeds from the sale will be deposited into the Federal Land Disposal Account.
