Peter McGuire Congressional Gold Medal Act

This legislation, titled the "Peter McGuire Congressional Gold Medal Act," aims to honor Peter McGuire with a Congressional Gold Medal. The award recognizes his profound impact on the American Labor Movement , including his pivotal role in establishing the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and serving as the first Secretary of the American Federation of Labor. The Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate are tasked with arranging the medal's presentation. The Secretary of the Treasury is authorized to strike the medal and may also produce and sell bronze duplicates to the public, with costs covered by the United States Mint Public Enterprise Fund.
