This bill aims to provide Members of Congress and their accompanying staff with lawful access to specific Indian reservations. The primary purpose of this access is to allow for the assessment of national security , public safety , and the overall security of the international boundary between the United States and Mexico. Access is granted specifically to Indian reservations that include 50 or more contiguous miles of the U.S.-Mexico border. This lawful access extends to any existing roadways or easements located within what is defined as "Indian country" , as per section 1151 of title 18, United States Code.
