REVOKE Act

This bill amends title 49, United States Code, to require that commercial motor vehicle operators possess an active USDOT Number for operations requiring federal registration, rather than just any USDOT number. The legislation specifies that the Secretary of Transportation will only issue an active USDOT Number after determining that the applicant meets all established registration requirements. To ensure ongoing compliance, the bill mandates the Secretary to immediately inactivate a USDOT Number if the employer or person no longer holds any valid registration or fails to make any required periodic updates. These provisions aim to strengthen enforcement against non-compliant operators and enhance safety standards within the commercial motor vehicle industry.
