Protecting American Beef Producers Act

This bill aims to reverse a recent executive action and restrict future presidential authority regarding beef imports. Specifically, it nullifies Presidential Proclamation 11059 , titled "Further Ensuring Affordable Beef for the American Consumer," rendering it without force or effect and prohibiting the expenditure of federal funds for its implementation. The legislation also establishes a significant limitation on executive power by prohibiting the President or any other official from unilaterally reducing tariffs, duties, or other fees on beef and beef products imported into the United States. Such reductions would only be permitted if Congress enacts them into law or if a state of emergency is declared concerning the American domestic beef supply. This measure is designed to protect domestic beef producers from potential impacts of reduced import costs.
