Reauthorizing the Creating Opportunities that Necessitate New and Enhanced Connections That Improve Opioid Navigation Strategies Act of 2023 or the RECONNECTIONS Act of 2023 This bill reauthorizes through FY2028 several programs that are administered by the Centers for Disease and Control Prevention to address opioid misuse. Specifically, the bill reauthorizes evidence-based prevention grants, the prescription drug monitoring program, and education and awareness campaigns. It also specifically incorporates the fentanyl crisis as a new and emerging public health crisis that may be addressed through evidence-based prevention grants.
