This resolution congratulates the Gambian people on the successful 2016 and 2021 presidential elections and the April 2022 legislative election. The resolution supports the work and recommendations of the Truth, Reconciliation, and Reparations Commission of The Gambia to bring accountability, healing, and reconciliation to that nation. The resolution also calls on the government of The Gambia to follow through with appropriate actions with regards to justice, accountability, and reparations for victims. Finally, the resolution expresses the support of the American people in The Gambia's democratic path forward.
