This bill requires the Department of the Interior to authorize certain geological and geophysical surveys related to oil and gas activities. The surveys must cover areas of the Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf that are not subject to existing moratoria on oil and gas leasing. Authorized surveys are deemed to comply with applicable laws to protect marine mammals and endangered species.
