Pipeline Seismic Safety Study Act This bill requires the Department of Transportation (DOT) to contract with the National Academy of Sciences for a study evaluating federal requirements for pipeline facilities concerning seismicity, erosion, and other dynamic geological conditions. DOT must consult with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on the study.
Referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and in addition to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
