Global Health Coordination and Development Act This bill establishes various bodies and positions related to U.S. global health activities. The President shall establish the U.S. Global Health Commission, which shall (1) develop and periodically report to Congress a Unified Global Health Strategy; (2) recommend improvements to ensure that U.S. global health efforts have the greatest possible impact; (3) advise various bodies, including the National Security Council, on global health issues; and (4) facilitate cooperation from nongovernmental entities, including in academia and the private sector. The President shall establish the Interagency Global Health Committee to implement the Unified Global Health Strategy. The committee's duties shall include developing a five-year plan for implementing the strategy and coordinating U.S. government global health assistance efforts. The bill establishes the U.S. Global Health Attache Program, to be managed by the Department of Health and Human Services. Each attache shall (1) serve as senior health advisor to the U.S. mission in the country or region where the attache is posted, (2) oversee and coordinate the U.S. health development plan for that country or region, and (3) represent the U.S. government in health matters.
