Enabling Extra Time to Extend Network Deployment Act or the EXTEND Act This bill authorizes the use of payments received under the Coronavirus Relief Fund for grants for the deployment of infrastructure for the provision of broadband internet access service. Such grants must be awarded by December 31, 2021. The bill sets forth limitations on the grants, including restrictions on using grants for infrastructure in areas that already have broadband service and a requirement that awards be made in a technologically neutral manner.
