Safe Water for Military Families Act This bill requires the Department of Defense (DOD) to ensure that, no later than January 1, 2029, it uses only non-fluorinated firefighting foam, which does not contain a perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) with at least one fully fluorinated carbon atom. DOD shall study best practices to clean up ground contaminated by PFAS substances.
