Keep Food Containers Safe from PFAS Act of 2019 This bill prohibits the use of perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl chemicals (commonly referred to as PFAS) in food contact substances. A food contact substance is a substance intended for use as a component of materials used in manufacturing, packing, packaging, transporting, or holding food if such use is not intended to have a technical effect in such food.
