Local Taxpayer Protection Act of 2018 This bill requires certain hydropower facility licensees to make an annual payment of $1.8 million to the county in which the licensed hydropower facility is located. Subsequent payments must increase by 2% of the preceding annual payment. The fee applies to a state, or a subdivision of the state, that (1) received a license for a pumped-storage facility, and (2) filed for the license in April 2017.

Local Taxpayer Protection Act of 2018 This bill requires certain hydropower facility licensees to make an annual payment of $1.8 million to the county in which the licensed hydropower facility is located. Subsequent payments must increase by 2% of the preceding annual payment. The fee applies to a state, or a subdivision of the state, that (1) received a license for a pumped-storage facility, and (2) filed for the license in April 2017.
