This bill makes continuing appropriations for FY2018 for any period during which a government shutdown is in effect for certain training for the National Guard and reserve components of the Armed Forces and for civilian personnel of the Department of Defense (DOD) (and the Department of Homeland Security in the case of the Coast Guard). Military and DOD civilian personnel are exempt from any furlough order for any period during which a government shutdown is in effect.
