Such committees must collect, analyze, and report specified data relating to pregnancy-associated deaths (i.e., deaths from any cause during, or within one year of, pregnancy) and pregnancy-related deaths (i.e., deaths from any cause during, or within one year of, pregnancy that are related to pregnancy or its management, excluding accidental or incidental causes).
