Expresses the sense of Congress that: the continuing success of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is in the national economic interest of the United States, APEC should be a part of the U.S. diplomatic and economic strategy for the Asia-Pacific region, and the United States should continue to engage APEC in promoting economic growth through the adoption of rules-based policies to strengthen trade and investment between the United States and other APEC members.
Referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and in addition to the Committee on Ways and Means, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
